a poorly computer... and - coming very soon...

Just got the PC back from computer hospital. The bad news was that the RAM had failed which, apparently, is very rare. The good news was that it was fixable, and I didn't lose any data or anything else of any importance. The other not-so-good news is that my bank account is now rather emptier than it was a few days ago.

But I digress...

I owe you a post on THAT veg box and the amazing chicken, another post on Deal, and probably another one just for good measure. Oh, and I can also tell you about an evening spent at that bastion of old-fashioned Englishness, Simpson's in the Strand. And then I've got some more chocolate to tell you about, too.

But first, I have to go to lunch. Second, I have to cook a huge Indian meal for friends tomorrow - sorry, no pics, won't have time. For the interested, my guru for all things Indian is Madhur Jaffrey, and I'll be making her amazing lamb rogan josh, with tarka dal and a mushroom and pea curry. With naans. And some kind of a tart to follow. Of the edible kind.

And then, finally, I might actually get around to writing a post or two.

Honest.

Yikes, I think you'd find that computer part prices here in Asia are jaw-droppingly low! :O Can't wait to see the new posts, but please take a moment to breathe if you need one! :)

Rosie - thank you!

Val - don't we just!

Mark - am trying to remember to breathe, I promise...

Nic - my PC says thank you to your compy, and says it's feeling much better now :) Madhur's great, isn't she? Came up trumps again on Saturday, as usual

Pia - I'm getting lazy about taking photos. I'll be better when we get the longer days and more daylight, I promise

Margaret - yes, ma'am!

Alex - my PC's back to normal. Not so sure about me. ;-)

At least you have an excuse. Garden-variety laziness is all I can blame.

Hope everything worked out well with your meal.

I am glad you didn't lose anything, that would have been just heart-breaking. Although the dent in your finances must be a bit nippy.

Hope everything is okay, family-wise. Looking forward to your review of Simpson's in the Strand. Was thinking about taking my dad there next week while he's in town.
