the best cherries in the world...

... from my native county of Kent. 100% lusciousness in every cherry. Procured from the beautiful village of Sissinghurst - once home to Vita Sackville-West, for the literary types amongst you.

Sissinghurst is a lovely place, when we were there some years ago the rain poured down and we got the place pretty much to ourselves, that was precious! And my sweetheart Siri (the dotty one), her surname begins with an "S" and ends with a "t"...:) I'm sure the cherries are lovely too!

There was a programme on for a while about Sissinghurst. It was really interesting. I wouldn't mind visiting some time.

Jacqueline - was there? darn it - it completely passed me by. It's a truly beautiful place, right in the heart of the garden of England. Well worth the visit.

Not too far from where I live, perhaps half an hour away. I must pop over to check out the cherries!

Did I tell you that cherries were my favourite fruit? I could reach into the screen and pluck these.

I went to Tunbridge Wells recently and was lucky enough to be there the same day as the Farmer's Market. Bought a huge punnet of gorgeous cherries locally grown - amazingly good!

Marie - you really should! Such a beautiful place.

Cakelaw - go ahead!

Caked Crusader - they really are stunningly good this year, aren't they?
